Sudeck’s atrophy, CRPS

Posted by kyBoot Shoes on

Complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) belongs to the category of neurological-orthopaedic-traumatological disorders.

Treatment is often prolonged and can be frustrating for both patient and therapist. Prognosis is best when the disorder is identified and treated early. Chronically severe cases are rare – 2 per cent of all cases.

The pleasant standing and walking experience on the soft, elastic surface that kybun provides eases the pain. At the same time, it improves circulation, which supports healing. It also strengthens the musculature of your feet and legs, and stabilises the joints

Knee pain, meniscus damage, cruciate ligament rupture

Posted by kyBoot Shoes on

Pain in the knee joint often arises suddenly and without warning. These shooting pains are often associated with feelings of blockage or instability. Swelling or overheating often accompany these symptoms.

In the kyBoot/on the kyBounder you can actively work against the pain; after only a few steps you will feel the positive effects in your knee joint.

Calf pain

Calf problems are closely related to problems with the Achilles tendon or heel spur (plantar fasciitis). Since the plantar fascia transitions into the Achilles tendon and calf musculature, the cause of pain may be found in these three areas among others. In most cases, the patient has begun to limp and their whole body is out of balance. Integrated therapy for this problem is therefore important, which means including the entire body (from head to toe) in training.

In the kyBoot or on the kyBounder, a natural rollover is possible and the foot can move freely in all directions. This relaxes and stretches the calf musculature and alleviates pain or cramping. Blood circulation is also stimulated, which speeds up the healing of an injury (pulled muscle).

Leg length inequality, pelvic obliquity

Posted by kyBoot Shoes on

Leg length inequality is present in almost one in every three people. It only requires treatment if the difference is 0.5 cm in children or over 1 cm in adults. The causes can be idiopathic (unknown origin), post-traumatic (such as damage to growth plates), or connected to an underlying disorder (congenital malformations). Leg length inequality can occur in the context of joint disorders (such as Legg-Calve-Perthes disease) or functionally during joint mobility impairment.

Knee prosthesis/total knee prosthesis/knee endoprosthesis/knee joint prosthesis/artificial knee joint

Knee osteoarthritis can progress so far that therapy is not able to alleviate the symptoms (e.g. pain) and that a joint replacement is the only solution. Even though this operation is virtually routine today, it is still a major intervention. After a knee operation with the implantation of an artificial joint, careful knee rehabilitation is essential for the prosthesis to last as long as possible. Gait, coordination and strength training, and improving mobility are just some therapy focal points. Avoiding impact that could damage the new joint is of particular importance.
